The categories below represent the range of expenses that may be eligible through Tedy. The categories available to you depend on your employer’s plan.

Active Life: Gym and fitness memberships, sporting and outdoor equipment, physical activity classes, personal training, equipment rentals, and registration fees for leagues and competitions. Athletic clothing and apparel are excluded; only athletic footwear is eligible
Fashion: Clothing, apparel, footwear, and accessories for everyday, professional, seasonal, or special-occasion use
Donations: Donations made to charities, non-governmental organizations, community organizations, and other eligible causes
Family: Accessories and equipment for babies, maternity accessories and equipment, daycare services, and activities involving family members
Savings & Investments: Contributions made to registered savings and investment accounts, including RRSPs, TFSAs, FHSAs, and other eligible registered accounts
Paramedical Care: Ergotherapy, massotherapy, physiotherapy, osteopathy, angiology, homeopathy, naturopathy, orthophony, nutritionist or dietician care, chiropractic, acupuncture, podology, foot care, senior assistance service, over-the-counter medication, deductible for prescription medication
Arts & Culture: Music shows, comedy shows, theater tickets, museum tickets, movie theater tickets, cultural events, live sports
Entertainment: Video and music streaming (Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, etc.), televisions, electronics and home entertainment devices, gaming consoles, video games, board and card games, trading cards, subscriptions, and other entertainment-related services or equipment
Mental Health: Psychologist consultation, psychotherapist consultation, psychiatric consultation not covered by Quebec’s Health insurance system (RAMQ)
Personal Development: Music lessons & instruments, art lessons & supplies, books and reading club memberships, training, mentoring and coaching, and other activities or materials that support personal growth
Professional Services: Fees for professional services provided by lawyers, accountants, and notaries, including consultations and document preparation
Food Subscription Services: Meal kits (Goodfood, Cookit, HelloFresh, etc.), food baskets (Lufa, organic farms, etc.), coffee subscriptions, fruit subscriptions, etc.
Groceries: General food, beverages, and household grocery items purchased from grocery stores, supermarkets, markets, and similar food retailers
Restaurants: Includes dine-in, takeout, and delivery from full-service restaurants, fast food, cafes, and food trucks. Excludes grocery stores and alcohol-only purchases
Vision Care: Eye test, prescription glasses, prescription contact lenses, prescription sunglasses, laser eye surgery
Dental Care: Annual check-up or emergency care, cleaning, dental scaling, fluoride treatment, sealing of pits and fissures, orthodontics (i.e., orthodontic appliances, palate expander, retainer), X-rays and other dental services
Individual Coverage: Premium for individual life insurance, premium for individual disability insurance, premium for individual critical illness insurance, premium for travel insurance
Car Expenses: Oil change, tire change and balancing, car parts and accessories, any auto repair fees, roadside assistance program. Excludes gas & charging expenses.
Career development: Online courses, workshops, professional retreats, bootcamps, and paid tutorials. AI & SaaS subscriptions or credits may be eligible if linked to your career development
Fuel & Charging: Gasoline and diesel purchases for eligible vehicles, as well as fees for charging electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles
Home Expenses: Home maintenance services, including snow removal, landscaping and similar services. Furniture, household appliances, tools and home improvement supplies are also eligible, as are household utility bills
Personal care: Personal care services and hygiene products, including hairdresser or barber services, spa treatments, and products for skincare, oralcare etc. Excludes household cleaning products and laundry detergent not directly related to personal care
Pet Care: Pet food and accessories, grooming, walking services, pet sitting, veterinarian visit, X-Rays, ultrasound, vaccination, odontology, surgery
Public and Active Transit: Individual or group public transit tickets/passes, including bike or car-sharing services. Excludes Uber or taxi rides and parking fees
Traveling: Plane, train and bus tickets, hotel and rental accommodations, vehicle rentals, taxis and rideshare services, luggage and travel insurance
Work supplies: Computers and accessories (external screen, mouse, keyboard, cables, etc.), internet and phone plans, home office furniture (office chair, desk, etc.), home office supplies (pens, notebooks, blank paper, etc.)
Health Spending Account expenses must comply with your employer’s plan and applicable Canada Revenue Agency requirements.

An expense appearing on the CRA’s list does not automatically guarantee reimbursement. The expense must also be included in your employer’s plan, available in your Tedy wallet, and supported by any required documentation.
